Memphis Depay and Sergio Busquets scored as Barcelona beat Mallorca 2-1, Breaking Sport News reports.
First Half Report
One goal was the only thing recorded in the first-half of the encounter which saw both of them giving a good account of themselves.
Barcelona dominated play from the kickoff which saw them applying too much of pressure on their opponent who didn’t allow them see a way passing through as it continued for them.
Mallorca were good with their defending as the match continued going forward but nothing could happen despite how close the home side came to scoring a goal.
It was looking fine until Barca scored but was ruled out by VAR which Memphis Depay had to respond immediately in the 25th minute to make the scoreline 1-0 with assist from Jordi Alba.
That goal was the difference as the first half of the encounter came to a close with Barcelona heading inside for the break with a 1-0 scoreline after 45 minutes of good football.
Second Half Report
The second half was crucial for the home side who had to complete the job despite the fight back coming from the visitors who had so much to prove.
Barcelona responded with another goal scored in the 54th minute of the game through Sergio Busquets who ensured his finishing only had one direction which was hitting inside the net to make it 2-0.
Mallorca continued the game with so much work on their hands after going down twice and it could have been a 3rd in the 74th minute but thankfully it was ruled out by VAR.
Raillo pulled one back for the away side in the 79th minute which was a glorious goal coming from them to make things 2-1 as they approached the final few minutes left.
The match ended with Barcelona sealing all three points for the night after going on to beat Mallorca 2-1 as they maintained their position on the League table.
