Manchester United are set to extend the contract of 5 players in the team at the end of the summer, with Rashford and de Gea leading the list, Breaking Sport News reports.

England international Marcus Rashford and Spain international David de Gea are leading the list of the five players whose contracts will be renewed at the end of the summer.

Meanwhile, there were uncertainties surrounding the future of Rashford at Manchester United, with his contract expiring at the end of the summer.

Rashford representatives met with PSG to discuss a possible contractual agreement that will see the youngster join the Parisians.

However, Rashford had not made known his intention to leave the club and is keen on renewing his contract at Old Trafford.

The steps by his representative negotiating with PSG must have been a ploy to force some concessions from Manchester United when contract renewal talks in on the table.

De Gea, on the other hand, has made known his plan to play and retire at Old Trafford if possible.

He has no intentions of leaving the club despite running out of contract at the end of the summer. He and Rashford are currently leading the five-man Man United list slated for a contract extension at the end of the summer.

Diego Dalot, Fred, and Luke Shaw are the other three prime targets for contract renewal at the end of the summer

The club is reportedly keen on triggering an additional one-year extension for the five players as their contract technically comes to an end this summer
