The PSG talisman has joined the ranks of the most followed football icons in the globe with over a hundred million followers.
On the chart of active players that are currently dominating the game, Kylian Mbappe could comfortably be placed third behind the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed Instagram personality with over 500 million followers while Lionel Messi is second with 400 million followers.
Lionel Messi hit his 100 million followers in 2018 while Cristiano Ronaldo hit his 100 million followers a year earlier in 2017.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the first footballer to hit 100m million followers before Lionel Messi.
However, Kylian Mbappe has now joined the ranks of the most followed players but the France international has achieved his feat at a younger age than Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Cristiano Ronaldo was 31 years when he reached 100 million followers on Instagram while Lionel Messi was also 31 years.
Now, Kylian Mbappe has achieved the feat at the age of 24, 7 years less than his predecessors.

Recently, he crowned his PSG career with another historic landmark when he netted his 201st goal for the club in PSG’s 4-2 win over Nantes to become the club’s all-time highest goal-scorer.
The record was held by Edinson Cavani but was matched earlier in the game against Marseille when he netted a brace to reach Cavani’s 200 goals for the club.
In the game against Nantes, Mbappe netted a stoppage-time time goal to displace Cavani as PSG all-time top&scorer at the tender age of 24.
